Dr. Janine McKay started her career promoting health in a different way – as a lifeguard and personal trainer. With a dedication to continuous personal development, Dr. Janine McKay continued to pursue her true life’s purpose. Throughout this journey, she has gained immense experience as a Kinesiologist, Sports Chiropractor, Acupuncture Practitioner, Functional Medicine Practitioner and more.

Today, Dr. Janine McKay lives out the culmination of this voyage, as a founder of RENU Health Clinic. Now she treats a diverse range of patients, from professional athletes to desk jockeys, weekend warriors and those dealing with various diseases, hormone imbalances, infertility, and gut issues. Through evidence-based functional medicine, she continues to develop strategies to reverse what she calls “dis-ease” – helping patients overcome the feeling of unease. Her mission is to empower patients to feel good, eat well, and embrace wellness in both body and mind; essentially fostering self-love and optimal health.

With more than two decades’ experience in delivering alternative medicine, she has a deep-seated passion for helping patients get to the root cause of their dis-ease, partnering with them in creating strategies for sustainable, holistic health. Dr. Janine McKay takes a dynamic and personable approach, meeting patients exactly where they are in their health and wellness journey.

Dr. Janine McKay’s extensive and diverse educational background is testament to her dedication to continuous growth and development. She has earned a Master’s of Science and Bachelor’s degrees in Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia, a Doctor of Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, and certifications in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture from McMaster University. Further solidifying her expertise, Dr. Janine McKay has completed post graduate studies in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine and is a board certified Fellow of the Royal College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences.

During her free time, Dr. Janine McKay participates in pursuits that foster health, physical activity, education, and enjoys valuable moments with her family.
