Dr. Whitney Parks operates with a clear devotion to total patient care – from young to old. As an American Board-Certified Consultant of Family Medicine and a Doctor of Osteopathy, she acknowledges that every person is composed of body, mind, and spirit – and approaches medicine from this holistic point of view.
Having graduated from the University of North Texas Health Science Center/Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, Fort Worth, Texas, USA, Dr. Whitney Parks completed her residency at John Peter Smith Family Medicine Residency, Fort Worth; a program that is consistently ranked among the top family medicine programs in the US.
With a wealth of experience built over many years of serving patients of varying ages and from different backgrounds, Dr. Whitney Parks previously worked at a Federally Qualified Health Center in Dallas, Texas. Her ethos is to deliver only the best patient-centered care, while working hard to address each patient’s unique needs.
Throughout her years of practice, Dr. Whitney Parks has amassed experience in managing a variety of both acute and chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, arthritis, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), depression, and anxiety. She also performs preventative exams, including adult and pediatric annual physicals and cancer screenings, to promote overall health awareness and well-being.
In addition to office-based procedures such as joint injections, abscess incision and drainage, and toenail avulsion, Dr. Whitney Parks offers osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT). OMT uses gentle pressure to address pain caused by structural dysfunction. As joints and soft tissue become better aligned, they are able to function properly and better access the body’s self-healing properties.
Dr. Whitney Parks is excited to be a part of a medical home that provides excellent, compassionate, and holistic care. In her free time, she enjoys reading, hiking, and trying new restaurants with her family.
